13 Moons Calendar

The Anishinaabe 13 Moon Cycle Techings are traditional teachings associated with each of the moon phases. The teachings provide guidance on how to live according to mino bamaadaziwin (the good life). This book contains artwork for each of the teachings painted by Sharifah Marsden, an Anishinaabe artist and goldsmith from the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

Designed in calendar style orientation, original paintings are paired with each of the Anishinaabe 13 Moons teachings with space for reflection, people to remember and moments of note.

Sharifah Marsden is an Anishinaabe artist & jeweller known for large-scale public murals, fine jewelry, and mixed media works rooted in Anishinaabe teachings and Woodland style.
